Seth Apter is a mixed media artist, instructor, author, and designer from New York City. He came to the world of art later in life, transitioning from a full-time career as a psychologist to being a full-time artist and maker. I often say that it is all about the details and that the smallest detail makes the biggest difference. But I also say that more is more and, as a result, the details often get lost in the layers. For Stamped, my newest collection, I stripped back the layers to make the details the star of the show. Each of the nine designs highlight individual elements, be they words, lines, shapes, or patterns.
