This is Philip with DoMyOwnPestControl.com, here to do a product review of the B&G 1150 Bulb Duster. The 1150 Bulb duster is one of our top professional dusters that comes with a lot of attachments that you can use to apply the dust in your home. That’s one thing we love about it; it’s a big sized bulb so you can fill this halfway full with dust, and it’s going to carry you a long way. It comes with this little cap right here attached to a plastic string, very heavy duty plastic. So, you can just cap your duster when you’re done for storage, if you want to do that. Now I’m going to tell you a little bit about each of these attachments. It comes with a variety of attachments that come with different lengths and allow you to get into different types of cracks. The way you use them is very simple. Take one of these black extension pieces, put that on the duster first, here, it just slides right on, and then you can choose from any of your attachments. So if I want to do this tip right here, stick that in the end, and there you go. You can use that. If I want to get a longer extension just take this one out and you have two black connector pieces so I can put a long tube here, do another, and let’s try one of these tips right here. They have this nice little curved piece if I want to get in cracks that are maybe in and around the corner or in a wall void. Sometimes these different attachments will help you reach different areas. Pop that on like that, and if I get them in all the way it’s even more secure there. But you kind of get the idea, that it gives you a much longer reach, and the nice thing about these too is that they are plastic, so when you are digging in there in around an outlet or something and you happen to tap a wire it’s not going to hurt you. Now we’re going to demonstrate exactly how to use this duster to apply insecticide dust in your own home. We have the Bellows hand duster here. Now when you’re inside you want to do a light amount of dust. So you want to turn the Bellows Duster upside down. And you want to stick it right here, at the front and dust in the wall void. Just once is all you need. It does not take much for the bugs to pick it up. And to access the wall void, you want the duster to go in between the box and the sheetrock. As you can see, you will probably just need the help of a screw driver to pull the box away from the sheetrock enough for the duster in fit in between. Then, you can do a couple dusts. That dust will come down and dissipate in the wall void and catch any insects down near the floor. If there is a gap in between the carpet and the base board at least to get the duster underneath. It provides a great opportunity to treat that area. So all you would do is put the 1150 Bulb Duster underneath the baseboard and give it a puff every 12 inches. Behind the toilet where the pipe goes into the wall is the perfect place to use the B&G 1150 Duster. Underneath the kitchen sink, where pipes go into either in the cabinets or back into the walls is an excellent place to apply dust. Usually there are slip covers on the pipes that you can just move up and out of the way. Take the duster right into the crack, and now you can dust the void underneath the sink cabinets.
